Carlos Torres de Navarra has spent more than 25 years in the cruise industry - first inside the cruise lines, then alongside the ports and destinations that serve them.

His career has centered on one goal: delivering long-term homeport and port-of-call strategies that keep a growing industry sailing. At Carnival Corporation, as Vice President of Strategic & Commercial Port Development, he helped shape a global port strategy of more than $1 billion, led the four-year effort to entitle Celebration Key — Carnival Cruise Line's first private cruise destination — and negotiated port and government agreements throughout the Caribbean and Latin America. He went on to become founding CEO of Holistica Destinations, the Royal Caribbean–ITM Group joint venture, chaired the FCCA Operations Committee, and started out in finance and port development at Royal Caribbean Group. Today, as Principal of AZUL Destinations, Carlos is developing Calypso Cove, a new open-access cruise port in The Bahamas designed to meet the industry's growing demand for berths - and he advises port authorities, destinations, and investors on how to build lasting partnerships with cruise lines.
